ABOUT ME

I have been obsessively reading since I was six years old, consuming any and all books I could get my hands on. Thus sparked the dream of creating something similar – a book that would make readers cry and laugh and smile and feel all those big emotions that I did. At nine-years-old, I wrote my first book. Over the years I would write many more, but it was not until Of Night and Blood that I finally felt the book I dreamed of writing had come to life. Since then, I have poured my soul into many more stories and have found myself in the process.

I spends my time advocating for human rights, drinking too much coffee, chasing around my children, and ordering new books for my endless TBR. I live in the United States with my family.

  • I only ever write fantasy. I have tried my hand at contemporary romance and have found that it simply isn’t my thing. However, I do have lots of fun combining other genres with fantasy, so you will likely catch me merging things like romance, dystopian, and even comedy into books! I also always add rather dark elements to my stories, but I’d like to write something fluffy someday!

  • Yes, I do! I try to participate in them as often as I can. I enjoy meeting everyone and am doing my best to ensure that I have the opportunity to thank you all in person for how much you’ve done for me! The events tab is where you’ll find more specific locations, dates, and times.

  • No, my series are all separate and do not have any connection to one another (apart from The Coveted and its spin-off duology). This is simply because I like allowing myself space to create something fully new without being forced to follow any preestablished rules!

  • My minimum goal is one book per year, but of course I would love to do more! As an indie author, I truly do have the flexibility and autonomy to publish as often as I want, but I am also someone who has a very hectic life outside of being an author (full-time job, mother of two young children, relentless volunteer, etc.). Because of that, I do ask for your grace when it comes to time between releases. I swear I will do my best, but I can’t sacrifice the quality of my craft or my own peace to churn out books faster than I am capable!
